Vizix iWear VR920 Personal Video Displays

Vuzix Corp has launched the iWear VR920, a physically slim, yet apparently feature robust, virtual reality headset. Apparently built on the same technology platform employed by the U.S. military, the VR920 headset sports some pretty solid specs. Inside, a pair of progressive scan LCDs offer 1024×768 resolution that virtualizes a 62-inch display viewed from 9-feet away, which Vuzix claims is the largest on the market. A 32-degree field of view is possible when wearing the device, which sports adjustable headphones and a built in mic for communicating in game. Head tracking components allow for a proper VR experience, and the device can automatically switch between 2D and 3D imagery. Best of all they are on sale at Just4Electronics.com

Vuzix iWear AV920 Personal Video Displays

The Vuzix iWear AV920-C is one interesting video headset, capable of receiving video from just about any device with a composite video output, displaying it beautifully on the internal 640 x 480 LCD display. This is the equivalent of enjoying a 62″ display from as near as 9 feet away. Just in case watching video from up close and personal is not enough for you, you can even connect up to 4 such headsets in a daisy chain to a single console, bringing a new level of immersion to FPS gamers. At long last, you can no longer peek at your opponent’s screen during a 4-way fragfest where your 42″ LCD TV doesn’t look so big suddenly. If only they had this back in the days of Mario Kart on the SNES. Best of all they are on sale at Just4Electronics.com
